EUROLAN 2007 Summer School will be held at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi, the oldest higher education institution in Romania. Since 1860, the university has been carrying on a tradition of excellence and innovation in the fields of education and research. With over 36.000 students and 900 academic staff, the university enjoys a high prestige at national and international level and cooperates with over 180 universities world-wide.
The Faculty of Computer Science, the first faculty in Computer Science of a non-technical university in Romania, has over 2000 students and more then 50 member academic staff, and it offers a good background for Computer Science as well as a wide range of exciting computing modules with up-to-date information technologies. It is located within 5 minutes walking distance from the main building of the University.

The climate in the area is temperate with warm summers, so light- to medium weight clothing is recommended at the time of the Summer School.
Iaşi is directly connected by air with the Romanian cities of Bucharest and Timişoara, with 8 towns in Italy and 3 in Germany. The flight schedules and possibilities to make reservations are also available from Iaşi airport.
