Social activities for Eurolaners
The people behind EUROLAN 2007 are planning to organize at least the followings:
- Monday, July 23: Welcome cocktail at the Palace of Culture of Iasi, offered by the organisers (price included in the registration fee)
- Saturday afternoon, July 28: a guided city tour. The organisers are trying to offer it to all participants willing to take part. If it won't be possible, an estimative price will be of 30 lei.
- Sunday, July 29: a one day excursion to the Northern part of the Romanian province of Moldavia, including the famous monasteries from Bucovina. Depending on the number of participants, the final price is to be negociated in a vicinity of 90 lei.
- Thursday or Friday, the second week: a farewell party. The final place is to be decided, and an estimative price is of 60 lei.
- a daily contest Taste it!.. and rank your opinions, where those taking part will cook for everybody a national dish - to be prepared at the school's restaurant. Well, you send us the recipe and give and some indications to the cook; all the help is provided by the restaurant personnel and one Romanian volunteer. If you intend to take part in this unusual, yet exciting contest, please contact the organisers, or use the Eurolan blog, where some recipes are already displayed.
